Meet Sophia Dupree
My clients come to me for relief from:
-
Adjustment Disorders (i.e., recent break-up, new baby in the home, new move, new job, recent autoimmune diagnosis, etc.)
-
Generalized Anxiety Disorder
-
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (including postpartum OCD)
-
Social Anxiety Disorder
-
Specific Phobia
-
Panic Disorder
I strive to create a supportive and empathetic environment that fosters personal growth and transformation.
In addition to working with clients with anxiety disorders, I also provide talk therapy to women that are feeling stuck and want to unstuck themselves from complicated relationships or from unsatisfying jobs.
I offer a holistic approach to my work as a healer. Incorporating things like food as medicine, body movement, and metaphysical/spiritual approaches is also something that I like to utilize, especially when working with clients that are also dealing with autoimmune diseases.

Hello! My name is Sophia! I'm a proud LA native, proud mixed-race Latina, and the proud owner of Chirpy Tree Therapy. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I have been in practice for over 13 years serving the beautiful people of California.
I work with high achieving women suffering from OCD, anxiety, and depression. Many of my clients come to me after being in therapy for years and are tired of the distress and anxiety caused by their OCD. Their OCD is controlling some aspect of their life and it's affecting their relationships. They want to gain control again and enjoy life to the fullest, without feeling burdened and controlled by the OCD. If this sounds like you, keep reading.
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP), and Mindfulness-based treatments to address disorders that fall under the anxiety umbrella.
Why ERP?
ERP is considered the "gold-standard" for OCD and anxiety treatment. Why? It's actually quite simple. ERP trains your brain to build tolerance towards uncertainty. OCD is all about control and wanting certainty. The more you learn how to train your brain to accept and tolerate uncertainty, the less anxious you will feel. Yeah, I know. Sounds easy, but it's causing you anxiety just thinking about it, right? Well, that's okay! You can do hard things and you can tell OCD to f*ck off.
"I am committed to partnering with you throughout the therapeutic process, providing you with the tools and techniques you need to achieve balance and get back to the life that you were meant to live."
